I probably can't help with the process (having never done it myself), but
we live in the Chicago area, and I'd be happy to tell you what it's like

to be one of the areas you're considering.

We did have our oldest move to Nashville last fall, and did go thru the
process of helping him find a place to live, etc - he'd never been there
before.  I can tell you about that experience.
