Joe,

Here in Metro Detroit we've got the same problem and my space has more or less the exact same issue that you're seeing. Otis, at this point doesn't have a tech that knows how our system even works anymore. 

Based on some research and a chat with the guys out at Wharton Center in East Lansing who have had 2 systems recently done we are going to be looking at Serapid which is an awesome rigid chain system.
