That was me....  For 3D printing work, Sketchup has a known history of
injecting unreconcilable extra vertices and/or unclosed vertices in an
object when you export the mesh as an STL file.... Both of which can be
potentially fatal to a 3D print.

Before I migrated over to 123Design, I got in the habit of having to open
my Sketchup STL files in Meshlab and re-saving them, with Meshlab
automatically cleaning up the polygons & vertices.
