I too was thinking back to any roadkill I've created... I also have
had very little scores.... possum.... indecisive squirrels.... a
bunny.....

Nearly had me some Bald Eagle a few weeks ago, but I was in Washington
State on Puget Sound, so probably couldn't have harvested.... ("Tastes
like Spotted Owl," or so the joke goes.)  I was driving along, and the
majestic baldy swooped up from the Sound, and flew right along side my
passenger window, for about 2-3 seconds (about 5 feet away) and at the
last moment, decided to make a hard left, and shoot upwards, across my
windshield.  Didn't hit him, amazingly, but I wouldn't be surprised if
he touched a wing tip to my roof rack as he made is sudden bank and
ascent.

Beautiful creatures, up close and personal....
