DPA headsets with Shure ULX transceivers. That’s what I have on hand for my
A/V gigs in the local convention/exhibition center.
The dpa mics sound great, and the ULX wireless system is easy to use, very
efficient with battery life, and totally bombproof. Plus you can buy
combo-packs which give you both a lav body-pack and a SM58-mic’ed wireless
handheld for covering all occasions - we quite often have sessions with a
keynote speaker wearing a lav or head-mic and a pair of handhelds for
fielding questions from the floor in a Q&A session. Or if the body-pack
should fail (not likely), you have the handheld as a backup.
