Caol Ila was a favorite when I could still taste single malt, as was 
Laphroaig. Mmmmm, peat. Alas, losing my sense of smell has rendered the 
intricacies of a good single malt imperceptible to me. :(

Ah, well. White wine is cheaper, and probably easier on the liver...
