I would second the recommendation for the Listen RF systems

The issues with the phone based systems is delay and latency, it depends on
so many factors to get a clean signal. The listen devices are just simple
and reliable

I personally like their legacy 72mhz receivers becasue they use standard AA
batteries, so you can use their charging station or regular batteries, if
you dont use the system a lot, it cuts down on battery costs

the listen receivers also use standard headphones so you can supply dollar
store headphones or they can supply their own, some places sell the
headphones for a buck or 2

They also have induction loop systems, so you can use the same system with
people who have t-loop hearing aids or implants
