With only 24” to work with, and a window that size, that does seem challenging to light evenly.
How about a large “Light box” using florescent tubes covered with a sheet of diffusion material?

The overall size is 60" wide by 55" tall and the bottom of the window sits 18" above the floor. The current idea is to place the unit about 24" in front of a blank wall. Any clever ideas about how we can light this item would be much appreciated. I'm thinking some kind of LED wash unit placed on the floor with a wide, diffuse spread is appropriate. I've been away too long to know what is in the market place that would suit.
