Hi Dan,

Check out the Speco Technologies line of CCTV/security cameras (carried by Full Compass). http://www.specotech.com <http://www.specotech.com/>

Their models with “intensifier” technology yield very impressive pickup in low-light/high contrast stage conditions—much better than my old analog Panasonic CCTV units.
We don’t do scene shifts in full darkness, so can’t speak to how it compares to IR-based cameras (or reacts to IR light sources).
