[SML] stage floor material

I do not dispute that MDO does not wear as well as a hardboard over the
long term. Our experience does not suggest that one should run away
waving your hands in the air. Our offstage areas that are not visible
show floor have sheets of MDO that have years of use in a space that has
lots of automation moving across it. The reduced cost and easier
fastening also count for a fair amount on the floors that get swapped
out after five or six weeks. And as long as they are full sheets it is
likely we can recycle them into a show with a less particular treatment
or small budget.

We change show floors a lot between three spaces. So our base floors are
plywood or particle board. We have some traps that have a plyron lid and
they are harder to fasten to and to remove the fasteners from. So like
many things, it depends on what you are going to do with it.
