I think I would prefer something more on the order of an attic access folding
ladder. It would have a slope when open, rather than being vertical. I don't
think a wall mounted ladder will be possible, due to the minimal aisle widths.

We currently have vertical pipe drops on the ends of several electrics.
Installing a batten along the wall would be more versatile - and would greatly
reduce the stress on instrument pipe clamps.

I am also considering proposing replacing the floor flange mounted pipes with
truss properly rigged to the ceiling beams.

All I need to write up my proposal to the BOD, so that a truss
vendor/installer may be contacted, is a rough estimate of what the moveable
catwalk materials and installation would cost. I have no idea if it could be
done for $5,000 or $25,000.

Currently, the basic concept is: ceiling beam (wooden) suspended tracks HL and
HR close to the wall - tracks roughly 50 ft long. The catwalk will be between
2' and 3' in width and will be roughly 26 feet long.
