[SML] Northern Lights Doozie

I would think a somewhat immersive feeling of putting the color on the
surfaces behind the audience if possible would work.  That sense of
colors on the horizon is one of my clearest memories.  I lived on the
arctic circle for a year and northern lights became routine.  There is
also a lot of mono-chromatic "bars"  and I don't know how to do
multiple shades of grey light.
