[SML] "Pipe Railing Fittings" style name...?

Hi Scott!
I remember from somewhere that these bulbous things are called ball fittings. Just about no one makes the threaded steel or cast iron ones anymore.
In current catalogs both the words “handrail” and “ball” come floating along with a shape name like Tee or Elbow or 4-way junction.
Happy labeling!

If you look at the drawings for Elbow, you can tell the fitting is of an bulbous shape. So... What is the style name of this type of fitting? These are classic parts and I'd like to label their storage home with the appropriate classic name.
