It is much easier and cheaper. Assuming you have a second computer.

Basically you are making a virtual midi device, then using the built in router to send it from the computer at the light board to a midi device connected to the light board.

If you happen to have the second computer, you taking like $50 for a USB to midi device at the light board end (if you do not have a spare)
