[SML] San Francisco on foot

In the not-too-distant future Sharon and I have to go to Natoma ST in
San Francisco. Would anyone in that area know if it's still ok to walk
from the train station to there during the day? I used to consult at a
company just off Mission and walked from the train up there every
morning and back in the evenings, but that was some time back. For all I
know the streets are filled with homeless green alien Jerry eaters now.
