Nowadays if there's anything even remotely electronic I'm shopping for
on eBay, the first thing I do is go over to the left-hand column of
filters and select either "US Only" or "North America"  for the Seller
Location criteria.

I refuse steadfastly to send so much as a nanopenny across the Pacific
directly. Let that be someone else's problem.

Yes, I occasionally pay more for a given item that way.
No, I don't have a problem with it; I have yet to be stiffed on a
warranty problem or a purchase this way.
