The materials are not cheap but search for "aluminum display extrusion”  It is as simple as an erector set.  You can then create your own tradeshow display.  It has the advantage of being lightweight and low profile like your aluminum screen frame but much more strength.  You wrap your digitally printed material around the edges and attach on the sides or rear then you can butt them up to each other.  You could even design as a single seamless flat that can break down into shorter components for car transport.  You of course are going to pay a premium but the possibilities are pretty much only limited by your budget.
