Its not the paint

i was stuck with a low grade masonite type floor and its been years of
touchups from any and all tape pulling up layers of the hardboard, even
painters tape can cause pullups

I have since learned that what you want is ANSI grade 4 or 5 tempered
hardboard, this will be a special order item, or one of the alternatives
like plyron or polyonix or stagelam

IF you do go with one of the alternatives, make sure to seal the floor
first with a good oil based primer as tough prime and other latex paints
dont stick as the first coat
