[SML] Old joke request

Both phrases made appearances in my world recently…

The other LD on a project is black and we actually had a good laugh over “hanging the blacks” in a stadium.

While on a site survey I referenced “breasting a pipe back” to our venue rep., who is female, had never heard the phrase, and was somewhat surprised to hear it.

What a world…

You had to go there, didn’t you? 😊

Breasting pipes is fun but measuring by RCH increments is frowned upon these days.

Hi Everyone

I hope someone here (with a better memory than mine) can help me.

Some years ago there was a joke going round about an SM/Production Manager discussing work to be done and one said “We must hang the blacks…”

I need the full joke to show some students that there is a difference between “normal” English and “Theatre” English.

Any similar jokes/stories will also be highly appreciated.

Answers to the list or directly to me please.

Best regards

Philip
