[SML] Is everyone still ok?

Welcome, Alex! The list is still active, and as you can see, we're from all over the place. Join the Facebook version, too. And let us know what you're interested in. You won't be the first "kid" we've helped "raise" into a great career!
As for me and Handsome Hubby... He's been laid off since the 13th when the PAC shut down. Everything for March/April and some into the summer have either cancelled or been postponed. As President of our IA local, he's working with near-by locals to create some online training for our members, and encouraging folks to take the IA Training Trust classes.
We're both disappointed that USITT was cancelled, but we will be in Columbus and hope to see many of your there. The session on "When in Rome: What to do in a new-to-you venue" has been transferred to that conference. - kudos to the Safety and Health commission for getting that communicated quickly.
AVIXA cancelled, too, but I haven't heard what will happen with the two sessions I was scheduled to teach there. Planning to be in Orlando in 2021 for that.
Personally, I'm the outlier as my AV gig has been steady. We have customers who are health care/LEO - since they are essential, so are we. My employer has been a gem with all this, though. Our techs each have their own van, we have sufficient PPE, and we're limiting contact with others as much as possible. Some of the school installs we had have been moved up; other construction things continue on schedule. We did lay off some employees so I'm doing my regular quality/education/safety duties plus being resident LD and doing more design/engineering things to cover for two others. Started working from home yesterday, which I like as the catering is good, commute time non-existent and environment cozy.
Beverage of choice = iced tea during work hours, three-buck-Chuck later. I'm going to need to make a run to the Trader Joes in Madison or Milwaukee to stock up when this is done.

Be safe, y'all! Wash your hands - under the nails, too.
Kristi RC

I just joined this list! I’m a high school sophomore and I want to do tech when I grow up. Is this still active?

This list has been rather quiet. I thought I would check in and see how folks are doing.
Remember if you are in need of help there are various ways to get it. Whether you need help medically, emotionally, or physically (or foods) there are groups for this. If you need help finding one for you or someone you know ask. We should be able to come up with it.
Take care all, keep the jokes going, laughter can help.  We need to stick together.
