Hey Listers,
Along the similar lines of Lighting Design Education, does anyone have any go-to for lighting a cyc curtain?
We recently purchased a cyc curtain and nine ETC Source 4 LED's with the cyc lens attachment. We place four lights top-down and five lights bottom-up and get good coverage....but I wish to move forward in my ability to portray time of day or other mood influencers. My question divides into two questions:
a) what other equipment is being used to side light the cyc? Are these just hung on a vertical pole on each side?
b) Are there any books, articles, youtube videos, presentations out there that discuss how to light a cyc?
Thanks,
Glenn Hoit

Rosenthal's book is a good option but will be expensive ($135+ on Amazon). The Pilbrow book is also a good option. Other options:
1. The Assistant Lighting Designer's Toolkit by Anne E. McMills 2. Concert Lighting by James L. Moody and Paul Dexter 3. Illuminating the Play by Dennis Parichy 4. The Story of Light by Ben Bova
