We wrestled with this eons ago for our symphony plot... First thing
I'd look at is the bench focus of the 10° fixtures; see if you can
flatten out the hot spot a bit, so it's not as pronounced & the light
is more even and smooth across the fixture's pool. Then refocus so
there's no gaps between alternate fixtures' pools and the coverage is
more uniformly distributed, rather than having a series of small gaps
where the deck is only lit by one lamp's hot spot, now any given place
on deck is covered by two overlying pools of light.
