Take a look at Galaxy Audio Traveler systems

they make all in one systems, powered speaker with built in wireless and
even battery powered

if the mic or pack fails, it can be replaced with standard Shure or
Sennheiser analog units

They also make the EVO fitness mic system, which i THINK is compatable with
the traveler, this has the transmitter built into the headset for fewer
wires, this could make a very clean system
