Hi folks,
Looooooong time mostly lurker, things have changed a lot but I still hold a
soft spot for this list, going back to my high school days in... some time
back.
I'm searching for my replacement at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, as I move
on to other exciting responsibilities within the parent company, Madison
Square Garden. It is, to put it mildly, a bit of a jack-of-all-trades
unicorn position, attempting to check off as many of these boxes (and
more!) as possible:
- Experience with all the standard production technologies (lighting,
audio, automation, etc).
- Solid experience with show control, especially Medialon Manager
- Solid video technology experience, including:
- Media servers (we're a 7thSense house)
- Projectors
- LED walls
- Broadcast
- IT, including:
- Networking (Enterprise Cisco especially)
- Windows, Mac, and Linux; not just familiar with them but actually
able to support other users, including Linux server administration.
- Programming; web programming (HTML, Javascript, etc) and scripting
(Python, Ruby, etc). Bonus for real C++ or similar experience.
- Familiarity with electronics, Arduino, etc.
- Familiarity with CAD and 3D modeling.
- Project Management and budgeting
- Will work closely with unions.
- The standard reading, ‘riting, ‘rithmetic skills.
This position is primarily in support of the annual Christmas show starring
the Rockettes, but it's a year-round job. It is heavily on the management
and some design side and lite on the hands-on tasks, except for the IT
related roles that we handle 100% ourselves, but the background knowledge
and experience with all these technologies are crucial. I can't discuss
salary, but I can say that we know what we're looking for, and the salary
is there to match.
You can see the more detailed description here:

I'm happy to answer whatever questions I can.
Thanks,
Michael
