Interesting introduction videos. However, Part 2 contains some errors. I have not watched 3 and 4. 
For example, he said the first single function light on the cable is set to address 1, the second to 2 etc. He also stated that the first multi-function light on a cable would be set to 1 through x, the second x+1 through y.  Both statements are false, even on a light with switches to set the starting address. Amusing. I hope parts 3 and 4, other than the error Ford mentioned, are better.
I believe some mike cables tie pins 1 and 2 together. Could this wipe out an interface chip? It certainly would affect the DMX waveform.Bill
