The material used is not so much a traditional scrim, but is known as a
filled cloth, it has more texture than a traditional broadcloth and it
completely filled, no holes like a scrim, its available in very large sizes
(30ft wide loom x whatever you order), it doesn't wrinkle much, and will
hang out quickly, it's quite light and compact, folds or hamper stores
well, it lights beautifly from the front or back and works well as a
projection surface. It does have a "grain" so orientation can affect how
light reats to it, but mostly its not noticeable, it tends to have some
hairs on it which also helps with how light falls on it

Compared to Muslin drops its ilghter and seamless, but substantially more
expensive

Last i checked, there were two looms in the world (france and germany) this
large that made seamless scrims and filled cloths
