About us
After a period of sustained growth, iStudio Projects Inc is looking to employ a Theater Rigger to complete installation projects by being part of a team that is planning, organizing and controlling all elements of the installation portion of its project. The ideal candidate will be able to supervise and coordinate project installations with other field technicians and subcontractors. He or she also oversees day to day on-site operations when a project manager is not present. The lead field tech reports directly to the project manager.
Minimum:
A minimum of 5 years working within a mechanical installation type role preferred.
Minimum of either (or) High School Diploma, College Degree, 5+ Years of Theater Rigging work experience preferred. Working knowledge of motorized rigging systems, counterweight rigging systems, curtain track systems, stage curtain installation, general rigging and suspension systems, general power/hand tools, basic experience in knots and safe job site practices.
Typical Tasks
Each project has different needs, specifications, existing conditions and potential challenges.
Below is a list of general job duties expected of the lead field technician, though these will vary depending on the specific project.
On site installation: Work with designated crew personnel to complete project installations. Some projects may only require one technician, some may require many and/or an array of subcontractors. It is important to work closely and respectfully as a team no matter the project.
Reviews project details as needed with the Project Manager to develop efficient installation plans and schedules.
You are responsible for maintaining an organized and safe job site. Ensuring all tools/equipment are put away or in a job box to be locked up at the end of each work day. Access equipment is plugged in, work areas are swept, trash is thrown away, any and all equipment in an overhead work space is left safe and secure.
Taking delivery of products, materials and ensuring inventory is a crucial part of leading a successful installation. Access equipment delivery and in-to-building logistics is vital to any schedule.
iStudio Projects accepts jobs all across Texas and the surrounding states, requiring constant travel.Monday through Friday. iStudios takes every step possible to ensure our employees do not work Saturdays or Sundays. When a company vehicle is not available, personal vehicle expense reimbursement stipend is negotiable dependent on vehicle specifics. It is the intention of iStudio Projects to provide company vehicles for our lead field technicians whenever possible.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
