Gearsource, Lightbroker.net, and Solaris Network -- I think all three do consignment sales.

Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace may be worth looking at, too.

There are also auction houses, but tbh they can be very scrutinizing of what they're putting up for sale and tend to take a larger than expected chunk of the proceeds.

Your suggestion of looking at smaller theater companies, schools, dance studios, etc. is a very good one and much appreciated.

There's always this list, too.

Best of luck!

Subject: [SML] Pricing inventory for liquidation

Hi all,

I’ve been approached by a theater company to help assess value of their inventory and find places to sell the old equipment so they can clear out storage. I know about usedlighting.com<http://usedlighting.com> (and ebay), but I was wondering if there were other places that I could use to compare prices of old equipment and maybe sell batches.

I’m not sure that there will be much market for a lot of it. I expect that lamps for the PAR64’s are going to be worth more than the actual hardware and I don’t know that Altman 6 x etc. will have much demand (though I will be reaching out to schools and smaller companies in the area to see).

Other suggestions for pricing info and possible sales?

Thanks,
John
