Maybe, once upon a time, someone used to read that inbox, and was
tasked to pass on your quote request to a dealer?

I've been in circular situations like that before - the only way to
get a quote was to ask the manufacturer, who (should) dutifully send
it on to the local dealer to work up a quote. I've had companies never
make that last mile.
