Put your PAR can outside the stagehouse, in some easily-supervised
SAFE and fireproof location (like maybe a parking lot or a loading
dock?), and run a drop cord to it from your dimmer. Ain't no law that
says the dummy load absotively-posilutely HAS to be backstage.
