Erin - If you have anyone wanting a review of their Health & Safety resume, sent ‘em my way.

Okay, just caught this somewhat older thread. I'll be there - coordinating PRIMP (Portfolio Reviews & Interview Materials Prep), running the Taping out the Rehearsal Hall Lab for Management, and on the Dance SM panel.
(And likely with some extra handmade theatrical jewelry in tow...and my crocheted SM mascots. Eeyore may also make an appearance. He'll at least be in the hotel as always.)
Steve, good article - just shared with a newbie.
Abbey - "Reception" means food. Strike up a conversation with anyone with a badge (and do your best to make sure your name is always showing on YOURS). Be prepared with an elevator speech. Take advantage of PRIMP to have 2 professionals look at your portfolio/interview materials. We have slots in nearly every commission (including new for Architecture this year - I think we're now only missing Health & Safety and Engineering). Scope out the Expo vendors in advance to spot who you want to make sure you don't miss - it's a BIG layout. And leave some extra room in your suitcase for swag (or purchases) on the way home. Use the "star" feature in the app to mark sessions that interest you and vendor booths too. Wear comfy, supportive shoes. Don't forget to eat. Wear layers. :) and have FUN. Meet others in your area, and find them at various events, not just people you already knew before you got to conference.

Who’s planning on attending USITT?

Not me....It figures the show finally gets close enough that I could actually attend, now that I'm retired from The Business* and otherwise occupied.
Y'all have fun, and say hi to  my pal Jenna if you see her.
-DV * and by "The Business," of course I mean The Industry....
