[SML] Random Vectorworks musings: why the campanile tool??

I've been brushing up on my Vectorworks skillz, and I keep wondering...
what's up with the campanile tool? (Cupola, bell tower) It seems like an
oddly-specific but obscure tool to have so prominently included in all the
flavors of Vectorworks.

I think Vectorworks is more popular in Europe (at least the
architecture-use) - is there some ancient rule that all EU buildings must
include designs for a campanile?  Or is it just a nostalgic holdover from
the MiniCad days?  Again, it just seems so odd and specific to have so
prominent....

Just curious, if anyone knows, or has a theory....
