Speaking of "local conditions".....
December 21st, 1993. I was out as rigger & Foy Guy on a Non-Eq tour of
'The Wizard of Oz' and we were scheduled to load into the Fox Theatre
in Atlanta. They got 1/4" of snow on the ground that morning, and the
local presenters were hell-bent on having the road company invoke the
Doomsday Clause and cancel Opening Night. We looked at them like,
"hell, *WE* made it here; what's up with y'all?" By the time coffee
break rolled around the snow was gone (as was half the crew, but
that's another story), and we opened to a sold-out house.
*shrug*
Weather happens.
