[SML] Upcoming TD position in Baltimore

Hi folks,

Last time I wrote here was in the summer when I was asking about salary rate for a LORT TD.  Well, I ended up taking the job and despite some things being weird, it’s been a good experience.

But then I got a job offer I couldn’t turn down (but I did manage to defer to the end of the season).  So I wanted to give folks a heads up that there’s a TD position opening up at Baltimore Center Stage.  I’ll be here until early June (see us through to the last tech of the season) and the goal is to hire someone such that they overlap with me.

There are some quirks of the job, the biggest one being that there’s no Director of Production.  The department heads all work as a socialist collective to make up that role.  Generally it has worked well because all the production departments are on top of their stuff and the scene shop is really good (though significantly understaffed).

The socialist collective of the department heads has all of us paid the same rate, so the salary should be 75,000, though I expect the posting will be for around 70.
