Even though there may not be any Regulation per se, under OSHA 1910 it would fall….safe work conditions, etc. Dr. Davidson

When I took Jay Glerum's "Stage Rigging Fundamentals" class, he said that rigging systems should be inspected annually. But I don't remember what OSHA regulation he cited, if any...

One of our Life Safety guys just send me an e-mail about a safety inspection for our rigging system. Seems they received an e-mail from a local(ish) company marketing their services so we would “comply with OSHA standards”.

While I completely agree that we are WAY overdue with a rigging inspection, I’m curious about the OSHA statement. Are regular rigging inspections part of OSHA compliance?
