[SML] light question

Cleaning out the basement here.  Came across a light   “designed and sold by Pevear Color Specialty Co.,   Boston, Mass."
Old PC look to it.  Rectangular rear end  approx 8”x8” x 10” long.  Small cylindrical snout about 2 1/2” long off the front with built on 2 way barn door  side to side) with  sliding shutter to mask off top and bottom.    Here’s what I found online about Pevear.

Looks like their  location was just down Brimmer Street from “Cheers”.   Building is still there on Google... 71 Brimmer St
Anyone know anything else or ever hear of Mr Pevear???   Must be a lighting historian on here somewhere and not just old farts like me that remember using old equipment.
Do you suppose the famous translator of Russian literature , Richard Pevear is related?  Richard Pevear  was born in Waltham, Ma in 1943
