I'll second the recommendation for Western Stage Props, it's where we
got our revolver. I'll throw out the caveat that no matter how
reliable your revolver may be, it's still prone to misfires, so have a
backup plan in place. Also, don't cheap out on the ammo or the
revolver. And fyi, a .32 caliber primer only shot sounds remarkable
similar to a slapstick. A half load sounds like a cannon in our
blackbox. If the pistol is out of sight of the audience, the
slapstick is a very good replacement.
Anyone know why blank pistols tend to be unreliable? Is it the blank
ammo? I shot .22 rifles competitively for years and had only 1 or 2
duds in the entire time, but have had many instances of misfires with
blanks.
