I have been on this list since 1994 before I even had an email address ( long story) and Frank has been a presence here longer than that. I could tell because people were already arguing with him when I got here!

To me, he was one of the original internet trolls, taking the piss whenever he could. But, as others have said, he was OUR Troll and I shall always respect him. 

His dedication and passion to his beliefs and ideas challenged us all. 

For myself, through interacting with him I learned to double check myself when posting. To know when to walk away from an impossible argument. And most importantly, to remember that even in the midst of vociferous disagreement there is always a place for respect and decorum.

I shall miss his posts and the subsequent eye rolls and heavy sighs they caused.
