I was working on a compatible concept perhaps a year ago, and wanted to use a winch. The main issue I ran into, was finding a winch with an automatic clutch that didn't go "click click" very loudly.  I found a company that said theirs was quiet, but they didn't sell to end users. In the end we abandoned the idea, and just had the actor walk

Anyone know of a source for a quiet winch, with an automatic clutch?
