[SML] Florida Venues - Orchestra Pit Lift?

Sprialifts remind me of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon, where they are singing the Barber of Seville opera. Bugs and Elmer end up in Barber chairs, with each pumping the lift handle to go higher. And as you might expect, they go far higher than what a barber chair can really do. But those Spiralifts really have that sort of extreme height capability from a short package.  
One theate I was at a little over a dozen years ago, did have some failures in their stage lift, soon after its install But this was an older version of the technology.
The older technology didn't lock the layers of the spiral together, they were held together only by the weight of the platform in a groove that was in what looked exactly like a giant Slinky that was between each of the spirals.
Someone should take one of these Slinkies to one of the giant stepped pyramids.
