6 years ago we swapped our CD 80 Supervisor processor cards and CIC drawers with the Strand Upgrade to C21 drawers.

Bought 6 units, plus a full spare. ($4,600 each, Cdn, 2011, plus labour, 4 hours per rack) (so, 14 components, 7 drawers, and 7 processor cards)

2 units were defective coming from the factory. But since that was fixed, it's been all good.

The university SHOULD pay for it, as part of Core Building. No class room lights, no classes.

Strand ships wiring harnesses to jump from old internal wiring to new system. They did have to install a new (or additional) thermostat in the rack.

We had a separate control processor for house light control (Premiere), that fed DMX to the same racks. I'm guessing you're using the internal Outlook system within the dimmer rack for your house light control. That one I can't help with. I would guess the C21 also has a VisionNet or similar replacement for the Outlook control system.

This summer replaced 3 Strand Premiere systems with 3 ETC Paradigm systems. All good there. only 2 switch stations had issues coming from the factory.

Good Luck. A lot depends on your service tech. and then re-programming all the dimmer settings.
