[SML] Preshow announcement

If you start doing this, then any time you fail to do it visually, you are creating the appearance of neglecting to perform a service your institution felt was necessary.  

But, in reality, I doubt it would really help to any measurable degree.  It might get some initial increased attention, because of the novelty of it.  But, soon people will get used to it, and start to ignore it, it will become like all the warnings about electricity in the first two pages of any user manual.
