[SML] Consumer Reports for Gaffer's Tape?

On a puppeteers'f forum, someone asked for gaffer's tape recommendations.  Some complained about cheap, but poor quality sources. And many said to get "real" gaffer's tape. Though, most didn't define "real" or even say where the "real" stuff came from.

I would expect that one of the theater magazines would have done a review of the various sources. They might have tested things like tensile strength, adhesion, residue, etc.
Can anyone recommend a place to look for such a Consumer Reports article on Gaffer's tape?  If there isn't a good one, which coves a lot of sources, it sounds like a good university project.
