I suspect theres a size limit to what you can post. Else put them in the Facebook Group - that’s why we started that.

I have a question about sprung floors.  Can I post some pictures here?  I tried a few minutes ago and my message was rejected.

I can't explain the screws snapping in the floor you worked on previously if it was plyron, since plyron is simply plywood with 1/8" hardboard outer plies. Should not different than hardboard on ply you have now.

I did soecify a particular particle board like product on, iirc, 2 stages. It was a product designed for covering industrial timber floors, in particular fabric mills.  Very high resistance to steel wheeled casters.  Came predrilled and countersunk.  It broke screws but both places quickly learned to get better screws, not big box drywall screws, thankfully. Held paint great.

I'll just add that of the high school stages I've specified plyron for over 20 years, I don't believe any of them have had to replace or recover their floor.  I don't believe hardwood veneered ply will last that long.

All you Plyron folk out there - must be nice to have money, or
something. In my spaces (19 years and counting) - we have 1/4"
tempered hardboard over 3/4 or 4/4 plywood (on sleepers, neoprene,
etc).... This sacrificial top layer has been replaced twice in 19
years, and is hopefully going to be replaced a third time in the next
couple of years.  Overall, our stage floors still look great. They get
one coat of Breakthrough a year, and we do screw into them, as needed.

Eons ago, I was working on a soundstage with a Plyron floor, and
screws were snapping right and left.  Was not a fan. And didn't envy
the people in charge of that studio.
