Ship rigging i.e. hemp style, is the opposite of KISS. I grew up with hemp rigging and still love to run shows and watch shows using it IF there are skilled, experienced, trained stagehands using it. Anything else is dangerous and fool hardy. Electrics are the most likely to have an accident as they have to be severely out of balance at some point. The only way to avoid that would be to load/strike one unit at a time, haul the line out balance, bring it back in, repeat for every unit.
