Yes, cleaning the carriers and lubing them is the best advice. I do not remember the specific grease that H&H specified but we dedicated a grease gun with needle tips to relubing after a good clean out with WD40.

Look inside the track before cleaning for signs of scrapes or chafing.      It's possible the drape is too heavy for the track and it is pulling it out of line between the hangers. Adding more hangers cures that.  Check the hangers, they might be squeezing the sides of the track in just enough to cause a squeak.
